As we age, our bodies tend to slouch as muscles relax and lose their tone, joints become stiffer, and movement becomes less fluid. To regain a younger fitter appearance beauty fitness exercises are essential.

If someone you know sees you from a distance, they would recognize you from your posture and the way you move without having to see your face. We can also judge someone’s age by his or her overall appearance and the way they move.

So the first thing you need to do if you want to get fit and look great is kit yourself out with some suitable sportswear clothing.

It doesn’t matter if you only intend to go walking because dressing for beauty fitness exercise will put you in the right frame of mind and keep you focused on what you aim to achieve.

There are numerous methods of getting fit, you just have to choose the right beauty fitness exercise for you so that you will stick to it and reach your goals.

Options range from going to the gym, walking or jogging, swimming, fitness work outs you can do at home or, if you’re a real beginner, simple stretching exercises to tone up your muscles ready for more the strenuous exercise later.

Unfortunately, you can't get fit by just thinking about it, you have to do something otherwise you will not see any progress.

Don’t worry, if you are not the sporty type and cringe at the thought of going to the gym every week then here are my own beauty fitness exercises on how to stay fit and toned.


Beauty Fitness Exercises:

  1. To counteract any tendency to slouch – stand with feet shoulder width apart and hands on hips, stretch your body backwards into a bow shape. Be careful not to hurt your back. Keep your shoulders back and raise your sternum (breast bone). Feel your side muscles stretch to their full length. It's a good idea to do this exercise at intervals if you sit at a desk all day.

  2. Fill your lungs with air and stretch up from the waist as though you are about to sing. This helps to lift you to your full height, keep your shoulders back and down.

  3. Imagine a cord attached to the top of your head and feel it stretching you upwards. Most back problems are due to bad posture and collapsing the spine. Stand up tall and straight.

  4. If you have access to stairs then make the most of them. Walk smartly up and down them whilst stretching up from the waist. Walking up and down the stairs is a good fat burning exercise as well as toning up leg muscles.

  5. Whenever you walk, walk purposefully. Set a good pace and swing your arms. Walking exercises almost all your muscles and burns 325 calories an hour. Walk briskly, swing your arms, hold your shoulder back and down, lift your ribcage and hold you stomach in.

  6. Enjoy the luxurious feeling of stretching and stretch often. Stretching lengthens muscles and helps to keep them toned, long toned muscles are extremely attractive.

  7. Tense and release muscles slowly. Tensing and releasing muscles tones muscles, it's the slow release after tensing that has the most effect. Never stand with your knees locked, always stand with about half an inch of play in the joint so you make your leg muscles work to keep you balanced. If you lock your knee joint straight the muscles relax.

  8. Take up Kundalini Yoga - to Detox and De-stress.

  9. Stretch when you reach up to cupboards. Stretch from your toes, through your back and waist and arms.

  10. Stretch when you reach down to cupboards. Keep supple by bending and stretching your muscles regularly.
